The opening sequence to Hannibal begins with a man talking to another as of they are narrating a story . Their is then a establishing short of both characters speaking to each other which shows that are having a conversation. Their is then a close up shot of a character sitting in a chair who looks disconfigured face the camera then switches to a close up shot of the male character he is speaking to who looks normal. The male character with normal appearance presents the old man with the disconfigured face with a gift which their is then a close up of which appeared to be a gold hockey which the man with the disconfigured face was interested in and this is represented with an eye line match of the old man looking at the mask. Whilst their is background music playing which has a slow tempo which adds suspense to the scene.
